Overview
The Benefits Enrollment page is used to view election options, enroll in benefit coverage, and choose dependents to be covered.
Note: These instructions are applicable to enroll in Medical, Dental, Vision, and Legal.
Step-By-Step Instructions
- Review all election options and costs associated with coverage levels.
- Click the radio button next to the desired benefit election.
Note: Current or default coverage will continue unless a new option is elected and submitted. - Choose an option below to enroll or remove a dependent from a benefit plan. If no dependents are to be covered skip to Step 4.
- To enroll a dependent in the benefit plan, click the Enroll checkbox next to the dependent's name.
- Note: The system will automatically assign the correct coverage level and cost based on dependents chosen.
- To enroll an eligible dependent not listed, click Add/Review Dependents and follow the instructions.
- Note: After adding the dependent, click the Enroll checkbox next to the dependent's name.
- To remove a dependent from the benefit plan, uncheck the Enroll box next to the dependent's name.
- Click Add/Review Dependents to review other information about your dependents.
- To update/correct a dependent's name, date of birth, relationship, or Social Security Number, use the Dependent Information Form link and follow the instructions on the form.
- To review your election, click Store to proceed to the recap page.
or - To cancel your election, click Cancel to return to the Benefits Enrollment page
Note: Elections for the current transaction are not stored. Previous transactions may be stored. - If you clicked Store and the recap page is now displayed, review the information. The information displays your annual election, coverage level, associated per pay cost, and when deductions will begin.
- Click OK if the selection you made is correct and to return to the Benefits Enrollment page.
Note: Your elections have been saved but not submitted for processing.
or - Click Edit to make further changes to your election.
- Click OK if the selection you made is correct and to return to the Benefits Enrollment page.
Benefits Enrollment - Medical Page
Letter | Field/Button | Description |
---|---|---|
A | Medical Plan Navigator | Displays a description of the different coverage levels available. |
B | Coverage Level | Displays a description of the different coverage levels available. Note: The system will automatically assign the correct coverage level and cost based on dependents chosen below. |
C | Your Costs | Displays the total cost of the benefit per pay period for the coverage level. |
D | Deductions | Displays the employee's cost per pay period for the coverage level. |
E | Tax Class | Displays the tax-class for the deduction.
Pre-Tax: Premiums are subtracted from your pay before federal, state, and FICA taxes are calculated.
After-Tax: Premiums are subtracted from your pay after federal, state, and FICA taxes are calculated. |
F | Add/Review Dependents | Click Add/Review Dependents to view information listed for each eligible dependent and to link to the Add Dependent page. |
G | Store | Click to display recap page - elections are stored but not submitted for processing. |
H | Cancel | Click to return to the Benefits Enrollment page - elections are not stored. Note: Elections are not stored. |
